Embark on an enriching retreat focused on classical dressage training. Our program emphasizes effective body positioning and balanced gaits, offering two daily group sessions. Join a supportive community where riders learn, share, and problem-solve together. Enjoy the picturesque setting, delicious meals, and camaraderie, making it a perfect blend of education and relaxation.
You will be riding in two mounted sessions each day. The purpose is to incorporate as much saddle time as possible. I will pace each session appropriate to the horses’ and riders’ fitness level.
Morning class: Focused on riders’ balance and symmetry, both on and off the horse, incorporating tools such as Balimo stool, Serratus bands, TRX bands, and Franklin balls. We will explore the process of developing an independent seat, leg, and hand for all levels.
Afternoon class: Focused on horses’ balance and symmetry, incorporating tools such as cavaletti poles, cones, patterns and schooling figures. We will explore the importance and use of the Training Scale to enhance the health and well-being of the horse.
Sunday: The sessions on Sunday will be modified to accommodate those traveling long distances to get home.
It doesn’t matter whether you are beach riding, competing, or anything in between, good dressage is good for all things you do! Looking forward to helping you Ride Beyond the Mirrors!
